Their price and quality remain very competitive Bridgestone BT 014 & 020 radials firmly established on the market and having recieved plenty of rave reports and awards over that period, however the BT020 are being phased out in favour of a replacement (BT021), and the new BT016 due in March, is to replace the BT014 but the good news is BT020 & 014 are now discounted at very good prices - phone for details Avon have introduced the new Viper range of sports tyres & the AV55 and AV6 Storm are available at the moment at very competitive prices - phone for best deals The recommendation is that H (130mph rated) & V (150mph rated) & Z rated (over 150mph) bike tyres are not repaired. However a few years or so ago puncture repairs to tubeless tyres were OK but within certain criteria ie.puncture is within the centre third section of the tread, damage is no larger than a 6mm hole, hole is not more than 30 degrees off vertical, there is no carcass damage, tread still has plenty of life, repair does not overlap another repair & a max of two repairs - although personally we would not recommend more than one repair in a tubeless bike tyre. So bottom line is yes some tyres can safely be repaired but we would need to look first & of course the choice is always yours. this can be a bit specialist & require a great deal of care to avoid
damage, not to mention being quite time consuming From £15 + VAT to £50 + VAT depending on the job per wheel - but ask us first to avoid misunderstandings We also operate a mobile "call out", tyre fit, repair,
balance etc service. In other words we come to you, home or workplace or
side of the road & sort the job. Obviously we have to charge for
this if only to cover the fitters time - so its £40.00 per hour + VAT
folks. Distances no problem but please remember its the time element we
have to cover. EG. minimum call out is £20+VAT but a 2 hour round trip
is £80 + VAT . Unfortunately we no longer operate call outs within the
congestion charging zone as we face an exorbitant entry charge then have
no where to park and face a fine if we fix your puncture kerb side, |
